How to delete your account
- In the Mess360 Android app: open the ⋮ menu at the top right and choose Delete account. If you are not in a mess yet, use the Delete account button at the top of the screen.
- On the website: sign in, open Settings and use Delete account at the bottom of the page. Go to Settings
- Cannot sign in any more? Send us a deletion request from the email address of your account and we will delete it for you. Contact us
You confirm with your password (or, for Google sign-in accounts, by typing DELETE). Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
What is deleted
- Your login: username, email address, password and Google sign-in link.
- Your phone number, address and email address in every mess you belonged to.
- Your sign-in sessions, pending join requests, and your name and email in our activity logs.
What is kept, and why
A mess's accounts are shared by all its members. So that everyone else's meal rate, dues and advances stay correct, your name stays on the meals, bazar, bills and deposits already recorded in each mess, as an inactive member without contact details. These records belong to the mess and are deleted when the mess itself is deleted.
